1. Magdalena JEZIECJCZYK was born on 22 Jul 1833 in Poland. She died on 28 Jul 1924 in New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota. She was buried on 30 Jul 1924 in St. John's Cemetery, New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota.
Magdalena married (1) John KUKLA. John died in 1861/1872.

Magdalena married 1 (2) Anton TRZMIEL [image] son of Jacob TRZMIEL and Regina JEDRZEJCZYK in 1867 in Poland. Anton was born 2 on 22 Jul 1837 in Poland. He died 3 on 8 Apr 1921 in New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota. He was buried 4 on 10 Apr 1921 in St. John's Cemetery, New Brighton, Ramsey County, Minnesota.
Sometime between 1861 and 1867, he married Magdalena Jeziecjczyk. The spelling is from her death certificate.
Anton and Magdalena, along with Marianna , Jacob and Anna, left Poland via Hamburg Germany aboard the S.S. Holsatia. They arrived in New York City on 17 June1873 (probably at Castle Garden, the immigration center preceding Ellis Island). Cmiel family tradition says that they came through Duluth, Minnesota. Anton is not listed in Moundsview on the 1875 Minnesota census. He does appear on the 1880 U.S census, living in Moundsview Township, Ramsey County, Minnesota.
In Moundsview, Anton was a farmer. The 1880 Minnesota agricultural census lists the Cmiel farm as being 50 acres and worth $1000. They had 2 oxen, 3 milk cows, 3 pigs, and 27 chickens. 3 calves were produced along with 20 pounds of butter. The farm produced 15 bushels of barley, 20 bushels of Indian Corn, 29 bushels of oats, 120 bushels of wheat, 4 bushels of dry peas, and 1 bushel of dried beans. For most of his life he farmed on land on the northeast corner of highways 10 and 96 in Moundsview. He also owned land surrounding Round Lake. The farm was demolished to make way for highway 35W.
Anton became a citizen on 2 November 1897 in Ramsey County, Minnesota.Joseph Skiba and Thomas Ryan were his witnesses. He signed his citizenship papers with and "X." This and other records indicate that neither he nor Magdalena could read or write English.
Anton died of pneumonia on 6 April 1921. According to probate records,his estate was valued at $9,000. Magdalena died on 26 July 1924 of heat prostration. Her death certificate indicates that she had suffered from paralysis for one year.
