Seattle Trip - Day 1 (Sunday)

(3.30.03 10:07 AM) So, now we're on the plane. So far so good - Greta has had a bit of breakfast, some orange juice, and is playing with her Leap Pad (with headphones). The funny thing so far is that Greta can't seem to stop looking at the Boeing 737 saftey sheet - you know, the one with the little pictures of how to esacpe the plane if anything bad happens. She keeps asking what each person on the saftey sheet is doing, what the plane is doing, etc. Very curious. Takeoff was really fun, and Cheerie got to watch out the window as we flew over Minnesota. We are seated at the very back of the plane, and so our seats don't recline. There are two unhappy babies in front of us - one with the flu and one that doesn't like flying. The one keeps crying and crying, and the mom keeps going to the bathroom so as to prevent the rest of the plane from hearing her unhappy child. We're so happy that Greta can do (pretty) well on her own without crying.

At Airport

(3.30.03 7:30 AM) Well, last night we had Dave, Margaret, Liam and Lucie over to our house for KFC. We packed everything up for the trip and gave the buns lots of food. I got three different bun cams working, so we should be able to check on them while we're on the trip. I hope that the bacement doesn't flood while we're gone. :-(

All three of us woke up early this morning, got all of our last minute books put in our bags, and drove to the Park-N-Ride. Greta's never done this before! We rode on a little yellow bus to the HHH terminal at the airport since we're flying SunCountry. This is a good thing as it's really small and all of the security people were really friendly. We got through the bag checks OK (none of us set off the metal detector) and Greta has been very good about the whole thing. So now we're just waiting for the flight to board. We should take off around 8:30 AM with a 3hr 30min flight.

Emily and Greta slept like rocks last night, which was good. I however didn't, so I'm up for any napping that might happen today. :-) The weather in Seattle is supposed to be 58deg and rainy, so we might just go to the aquarium today, and not try to do too much stuff outside. We'll see.
