(8.26.04) This
site has some pretty serious broken links. They will be updated in the
next week or so to either point to the correct place or they'll just be
commented out so they don't show as links.
Check out my webserver at home: Schmalz Haus
Another thing to note is that we now have a picture gallery up. Login with
the username 'guest' and password 'guest' to view the picture gallery.
I also forgot to mention that our second daughter was
born on April 1, 2004. Her name is Deanna Ruth, and she's just a
wonderful baby.
(5.12.04) Wow. I
broke my own record. More than a year between updates. :-) For now I
just wanted to add a link to Greta's pre-school's webpages. She goes to
Little Voyageurs'
Montessori School in Minneapolis, and it has been just the most
wonderful thing for her.
Also, here's a link back to the server at my house. Brian's Home Server.
(3.29.03) This
is just getting silly. :-) It's been almost exactly a year ago since
the last update. What's new? Well, we are about to set out on a trip to
Seattle! Last year we went to Washington D.C. over Emily's spring
break, and this year we're going to visit Hans and Lana in Seattle.
None of us have ever been to that area of the country, so it's all
going to be fun and new.
It turns out that raising a 3 year old is a lot of work
too. Just different from the 2 year old thing. It's a lot of fun
though. Over the next week I'll be updating the Seattle trip page
daily, with pictures and text from our trip. This is our main record of
our family vacations, so it pays to do them right and spend some time
writing things up.
(3.30.02) Wow,
over a year since the last entry. What can I say, I guess I've been
busy. I had no idea how much work raising a 2 year old could be.
This site is now being hosted at my ISP, TwinCities Internet and so I'm in
the middle of changing things around so they work correctly. However,
please see our "Trips" page - we are updating it daily while on our
Washington D.C. trip. (I'm on the train to Chicago as I write this.)
Now that the pages are on a server that I can't screw up, the site
should be very stable.
(2.21.01) So the
new bunny is working out great. Annabell is a very good girl and Greta
loves playing with her. I have had some major computer problems over
the past weeks - and they probably aren't over yet. On 2.28.01 Quest
will be switching my DSL ISP to a new vendor and so I will be changing
some of my networking setttings around that time. Soon I will be moving
this entire site to a new computer (an older Mac that I'm using for
TCP/IP routing) and so it will become much more stable. Also If you are
wondering why Oliver and Martie are in a cage, it is bceause we are
trying to litter train them a bit better than they were before. I'm not
sure if it is working yet. ;-)
(1.22.01) Several
updates today. I've increased the stability of this server quite a bit
so you should almost always (unless the machine is rebooting) be able
to get to this site. We also adopted another bun this evening from the
best humane society ever - Animal Humane Society in Golden Valley MN.
Her name is Annabell and she's a 7 week old black beauty with one white
paw. Some of you may remember Love, our other black bun. She also had
one white paw. In a couple days she should be visible in the bun cam.
(After she gets used to our house a bit.)
(10.26.00) I
keep adding to the buns pages. I also put up a page describing my Remote Bunny Feeder.
(12.29.00) Got
back from 3 Christmas celebrations in a row and we are working to get
everything settled down again. Look for new updates to this web site
soon - I'm also looking into a bit more steady way to serve them up.
(This machine is my only home PC, so it keeps going down for other
reasons.) Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
(10.25.00) More
pages up! Some have not been converted yet to the new format, and I
still have some dead links. However, I've put up two moves (watch out,
they're large) on the Baby page.
(10.20.00) I
finally got around to re-designing the site I put up when Greta was
born. This is the result. I've decided that MS FrontPage is not
flexible enough, and so I'm doing all of this HTML by hand in a text
editor.
Many of the links here won't be active for awhile until
I get the respective pages done. However, I encourage you to check out
the Bun pages as I have a live bunny cam at home updating pictures of
my two rabbits every 2 seconds.
