Holmes diffuses all worries about his health and his contract status by ripping off two touchdowns and 183 yards from scrimmage. On the first drive of the game, Holmes scampered for a 24 yard touchdown to put the Chiefs ahead for good. Do the Chargers miss Junior Seau yet? | The Manning/James/Harrison show was getting bad reviews by intermission, but the final act made up for everything when Mike Vanderjagt nailed a 45-yard field goal as time expired. Vanderjagt was perfect on the day, booting three between the posts, including a 46 yarder to lead the Colts to a win over the Browns.
And more importantly, he netted 11 points for Randy ensuring his Week 1 win. |

The Eagles had first and goal from the 1-yard line in the first quarter but were snuffed on four consecutive plays. They didn't come really close after that, netting less than 70 yards in the first half. Simeon Rice racked up 1.5 of the team's 3 sacks, and the Buccanneers shutout the McNabb-led Eagles offense to prove they are still the team to beat in the NFL.
They racked up 11 points for Dave, making them his MVP of the week. |
